Utah’s Wasatch Front starts cool and calm, but sunshine is already lifting temperatures quickly across Salt Lake City, setting up a warm and stable stretch before storm chances return later this week.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures begin near 45°F under clear skies, climbing to around 72°F today with light northwest winds developing by afternoon. Calm and dry conditions continue into tonight, with lows near 47°F.

Across Salt Lake County and along I-15 and I-80, drivers can expect smooth travel with clear visibility and dry pavement through the day. The cool start may require a light jacket early, but warmer air takes over by midday.

By Tuesday, sunshine continues with highs near 73°F, followed by another mild day Wednesday with temperatures in the upper 60s. This stretch offers ideal conditions for outdoor plans and commuting across the valley.

Changes begin to develop by Thursday afternoon. A 30% chance of showers moves in, with clouds increasing and temperatures holding near the low 70s. By Friday, storm chances expand, with scattered showers and possible thunderstorms developing later in the day.

While widespread impacts are not expected yet, brief rain could create slick roads during peak travel times late week.
