Cleveland, Ohio – A cold front is sweeping across northern Ohio this morning, bringing scattered rain and cooler air. Temperatures are holding in the 60s but will dip into the upper 40s and 50s overnight, creating a crisp start for Friday.
According to the National Weather Service in Cleveland, skies should briefly dry out by Friday afternoon, allowing temperatures to rebound into the lower 70s. The break won’t last long, as another round of showers moves in Friday night into Saturday, with higher rain chances along the Lake Erie shoreline and through counties including Erie, Lorain, and Ashtabula.
Travelers may encounter wet roads late Friday and Saturday morning, especially on I-90 and I-71 corridors. With cooler nights, residents are advised to keep jackets handy and allow extra time for commutes in rain-prone areas. Outdoor weekend plans may need adjustments, as periods of showers linger into Saturday.
Cooler-than-normal temperatures will continue into early next week, keeping most of northern Ohio in the 60s during the day and 50s at night.
