Tuesday’s heat index values could reach 104°F in some areas, with little relief overnight. Wednesday is expected to be just as hot, with the heat index again exceeding 100°F.
Thunderstorms are likely as a cold front approaches midweek. The National Weather Service has issued a severe weather outlook for Tuesday and Wednesday. There is low confidence in severe storms late Tuesday, but stronger storms may develop Wednesday afternoon. The storms could bring damaging winds and heavy rainfall.
