Northern Missouri Braces for Severe Thunderstorms: Path of Potential Tornadoes

St. Louis, MO – Multiple rounds of severe thunderstorms are expected to impact the St. Louis region throughout the week, bringing the potential for damaging winds, large hail, and weak tornadoes. The National Weather Service (NWS) in St. Louis has issued alerts indicating the first wave of storms will arrive Tuesday evening, with the greatest threat between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. in northeast Missouri.

According to the NWS, additional severe weather is anticipated on Wednesday afternoon, primarily affecting areas along and south of I-70 in Illinois and I-44 in Missouri. Thursday evening could see further storm activity, particularly in central, east-central, and southeastern Missouri.

Residents are advised to stay informed and have multiple ways to receive weather warnings. The NWS emphasizes the importance of preparedness, urging people to secure outdoor objects and avoid travel during severe weather conditions.
