The Northland is set to experience a mix of weather patterns over the next few days, with light rain showers and isolated thunderstorms in the forecast. Today is expected to remain mostly dry, with temperatures ranging from 75 to 80 degrees in the Minnesota Arrowhead region. As the week progresses, rain chances increase, with a 20-40% likelihood of showers starting in north-central Minnesota by Thursday, expanding into northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin by the evening.

According to the National Weather Service in Duluth, thunderstorms and general rain showers are expected overnight Thursday, with the strongest storms likely in north-central Minnesota. Although a few of these storms could be strong, severe weather is not anticipated. By Friday morning, these storms will taper off, leading to decreasing rain coverage throughout the day. Temperatures are expected to remain moderate, with highs ranging from 73 to 78 degrees on Thursday and 75 to 82 degrees on Friday.

Looking ahead to the weekend, Northern Minnesota will see a warm-up, with temperatures climbing into the low 80s by Saturday. The warm and dry conditions will provide a pleasant end to the week, offering a welcome break from the earlier rain and storms.
