Northern Minnesota Forecast: Thunderstorms Today, Frost Possible by Friday

Duluth, MN – Northern Minnesota is bracing for a significant change in weather conditions starting today. Showers and thunderstorms will begin to move into the region, with storms expected to hit Duluth late this afternoon and into the evening. Temperatures will reach highs of 81°F today but will begin to fall sharply on Thursday and Friday.

According to the U.S. National Weather Service in Duluth, temperatures will drop from the mid-70s on Wednesday to the 60s by Friday. By the weekend, the region could experience frost during the overnight hours, with temperatures as low as 44°F forecasted for Saturday morning.

The National Weather Service warns of a 40-70% chance of showers today, tapering off to 20-60% on Thursday. Frost could pose risks to sensitive vegetation, and residents should prepare for cooler conditions heading into the weekend.
