Gaylord, MI – A stretch of unsettled weather is expected to impact Northern Michigan through Saturday, with rain and isolated thunderstorm chances each day.

According to the National Weather Service in Gaylord, cloudy skies and patchy fog will settle in Tuesday night with lows between 53°F and 59°F. Beginning Wednesday, daily high temperatures will range from 67°F to 80°F as intermittent rain showers and isolated thunderstorms move across the region.

Wednesday and Thursday will bring the first round of scattered storms, primarily during the afternoon and evening hours. Friday is forecasted to be the warmest day of the week, with highs up to 80°F and increased chances for thunderstorms. Saturday’s temperatures will dip slightly, accompanied by continued rain chances across the area.

Drivers are advised to use caution during foggy morning commutes and remain alert to potential downpours and lightning. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is also possible due to multiple days of rain.
