Gaylord, Mich. – Light showers and patchy fog could slow travel in northern Michigan Friday morning before a stretch of clear, dry weather settles in through early next week. Temperatures will stay seasonable with mild afternoons and cool nights.
According to the National Weather Service in Gaylord, scattered showers are possible between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Friday, along with areas of fog until late morning. Highs will reach near 67, with winds shifting north in the afternoon. Conditions will quickly improve Friday night as skies turn partly cloudy and lows dip to the low 50s.
Saturday begins with lingering fog, but skies will clear, and sunshine will dominate through at least Tuesday. Highs will climb into the mid-70s to upper 70s Sunday and Monday, with overnight lows in the 40s and 50s. Winds remain light and variable, keeping boating and travel conditions calm across Otsego, Crawford, and surrounding counties.
