Gaylord, MI – Northern Michigan residents can expect cool, showery conditions to persist through the end of the workweek, followed by a welcome return of sunshine and milder temperatures this weekend, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Gaylord.

Thursday’s highs will range from the mid-40s to low 50s with scattered rain showers continuing through the evening. Overnight lows are forecast to dip into the 30s, maintaining a chilly fall feel.

According to the NWS, Friday will bring lingering scattered showers, mainly during the morning, before skies gradually begin to clear. Highs will hover between 45 and 52 degrees, with lows dropping to near freezing in some inland areas.

The weekend outlook shows a drying trend taking hold, with partly sunny skies expected Saturday through Monday. Highs are projected to climb into the mid-50s to around 60 degrees, offering more comfortable conditions for outdoor plans.

Forecasters say this shift marks the beginning of a more stable weather pattern heading into next week. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the clearer skies after several days of damp, cloudy weather.
