Gaylord, MI – Northern Michigan is set to experience a pleasant, if slightly cool, stretch of weather this week, with temperatures in Gaylord and surrounding areas expected to range from the upper 60s to mid-70s. Today’s high will peak around 68°F under mostly sunny skies. As the week progresses, a slight warming trend will bring temperatures into the low 70s by Wednesday and Thursday, with a high of 75°F forecasted on Thursday. Friday will see a slight dip back to the lower 70s before the weekend ushers in a return to warmer conditions, with highs nearing 79°F on Saturday and a potential peak of 83°F on Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Gaylord, winds will gradually taper off as a high-pressure system builds over the region, maintaining the clear and calm conditions. However, despite the sunny skies, the NWS warns that beaches along Lake Huron will remain under a moderate swim risk due to persistent currents and cooler water temperatures.

Looking ahead to next week, temperatures are expected to continue climbing, with highs reaching the upper 80s by Monday. This forecast suggests that summer’s warmth isn’t quite over, providing residents and visitors with an extended period of favorable weather.
