Gaylord, MI – Northern Michigan residents can expect partly to mostly cloudy skies Wednesday, with a chance of passing showers and isolated, non-severe thunderstorms, according to the US National Weather Service Gaylord.
Forecasters said a few lingering showers may continue into Thursday, before generally dry weather returns Friday through the weekend. High temperatures both Wednesday and Thursday are forecast to stay in the upper 60s to lower 70s. Conditions will remain seasonably mild, with a gradual warming trend expected as the weekend approaches.
The Weather Service noted that while storms could pop up, they are not expected to reach severe levels. Most communities across northern Lower Michigan and the eastern Upper Peninsula will only see light, scattered rainfall.
Travelers and outdoor workers should plan for brief interruptions from passing showers, but forecasters emphasized that the bulk of the week will feature dry conditions after Thursday. Temperatures could climb a few more degrees heading into the weekend, providing a mild and comfortable stretch for fall activities.
