Northern Michigan residents should brace for cooler temperatures and possible showers this weekend, especially along M-32. A stretch of windy and rainy conditions is expected to affect Gaylord and nearby areas, starting Friday and continuing into Saturday. Drivers should be cautious on the roads, especially with wet conditions expected.

According to the US National Weather Service, today’s high will range between 53 to 58 degrees, with scattered showers likely in the region. Temperatures are expected to drop further on Saturday, with highs between 48 and 55 degrees, and another chance for rain showers. Those traveling through M-32 should be prepared for slick conditions and adjust their driving accordingly.

Sunday’s forecast brings some relief with partly cloudy skies and highs between 52 and 59 degrees. Winds will likely taper off, improving conditions for outdoor activities. Monday will continue the partly cloudy trend with highs warming up to between 57 and 63 degrees, marking a return to more typical autumn weather.

Looking ahead to next week, conditions will improve with unseasonably warm temperatures and clearer skies. This makes it a great time for outdoor planning, particularly as Halloween approaches on Thursday. If you’re preparing for trick-or-treating, expect dry conditions and mild temperatures, but continue to monitor updates as the forecast could change.
