Caribou, ME – Unseasonably mild weather continues across Northern and Eastern Maine today as a cold front moves through the region, bringing rain, fog, and the potential for brief snowfall overnight.

According to the National Weather Service in Caribou, the highest rainfall totals will be near the Downeast coast. Areas of fog are expected, particularly in the northern regions during the morning and across Bangor and Downeast for much of the day. Rain showers could linger Downeast through Tuesday morning.

As the system moves through, precipitation may transition briefly to snow in Central and Northern areas Monday night. However, any accumulations are expected to remain minimal, with less than an inch forecasted.

Despite the cold front, no significant drop in temperatures is expected. The region will experience unseasonably mild conditions through Thursday, with highs reaching the 50s in some areas by midweek.

Residents should remain cautious while traveling in foggy conditions and prepare for wet roads through Tuesday.
