Caribou, Maine – Dry conditions will hold across northern Maine through the weekend, with temperatures on the rise and only spotty chances for a shower in the far north Saturday or Sunday. According to the National Weather Service in Caribou, inland highs today will reach the low 80s, warming to the mid-80s by Friday and Saturday, and soaring to the upper 80s by Sunday. Overnight lows will remain comfortable, dipping to the low and mid-50s under mostly clear skies and a nearly full moon.

Roadways, especially in Aroostook and Penobscot counties, will stay dry with minimal travel disruptions expected. Outdoor events and summer plans should go smoothly, but residents are urged to keep hydrated and limit strenuous activities during peak afternoon heat, especially as Monday and Tuesday bring a surge of hot weather with inland highs near 90 degrees.

While a few isolated showers may graze the far northern border over the weekend, most of Maine will stay dry. More updates are expected as the heat wave builds; further advisories may be issued early next week.
