Fort Wayne, IN – A much drier weather pattern is expected to settle over Indiana for the next seven days, with below-normal temperatures marking the start of the week. According to the U.S. National Weather Service Northern Indiana, temperatures through Thursday will see lows in the upper 40s to low 50s and highs in the upper 60s to mid-70s, making for comfortable conditions with less humidity.

As the week progresses, temperatures are forecasted to climb gradually. By Friday through Monday, highs will reach the low to mid-80s, bringing a return to more typical mid-August weather. The air will remain dry, with humidity slowly increasing into the weekend.

Residents are also advised to take caution along Southeastern Lake Michigan, where dangerous swimming conditions persist through Monday night. Winds from the north at 10 to 20 mph and waves of 5 to 8 feet are expected to diminish overnight, but a moderate swim risk will remain through Tuesday morning.

Overall, a tranquil weather period is forecast for Indiana, providing relief from recent storms and humidity. As temperatures return to normal, the weekend is likely to be warmer and slightly more humid, but still pleasant for outdoor activities.
