South Bend, Ind. – Northern Indiana residents will see a cool but mostly dry weekend, with a small chance of light rain along the Michigan border late Saturday into early Sunday. Afternoon highs across the region will hold in the mid-60s to near 70, with noticeably colder nights.

According to the National Weather Service in Northern Indiana, a 20% chance of rain lingers along the MI/IN border through late tonight. Otherwise, skies will remain partly cloudy with evening lows dipping into the low to mid-40s. By Sunday night, colder pockets may fall to just 39 degrees.

Cities along U.S. 20 and I-69, including Angola, Elkhart, and South Bend, should prepare for crisp conditions at night that could affect early morning outdoor plans. Motorists may also encounter patchy fog in cooler valleys.

The warming trend begins Monday, with highs climbing into the lower 70s and sunshine returning, offering a more comfortable start to the week.
