Fort Wayne, IN – Northern Indiana will see an unseasonable return of snow Thursday morning as a fast-moving system moves through the region. Another round of rain and snow could develop by Sunday, making for a messy start to spring.

According to the National Weather Service, Fort Wayne will experience snow showers Thursday morning, possibly mixed with rain before 2 p.m. Winds will be gusty, reaching up to 30 mph. High temperatures will struggle to reach 41°F, while nighttime lows will drop to 26°F under mostly clear skies.

Friday will bring mostly sunny conditions with a high of 52°F, but another storm system could arrive Friday night with a 40% chance of showers. Saturday looks partly sunny with highs near 43°F, while temperatures will dip to 25°F overnight.

By Sunday, a new system could bring rain and snow showers before 2 p.m., followed by lingering precipitation into the evening. The chance of precipitation is 50%, with a high near 50°F.

Drivers should be cautious on roads, especially during morning commutes on Thursday and Sunday. Wind gusts could reduce visibility, and slick spots are possible.

Looking ahead, Monday will remain unsettled, with another 40% chance of rain and snow showers. By Tuesday, conditions improve with a slight chance of showers and highs reaching 44°F.
