Indiana – Headlights glow through thick gray fog across Fort Wayne this morning as visibility drops sharply across northern Indiana. Drivers moving along I-69, US-30, and Lima Road are slowing as mist clings to fields and low-lying areas.

According to the National Weather Service in Northern Indiana, a Dense Fog Advisory continues through late morning, with visibility falling to around one-quarter mile in parts of Allen County. The fog gradually lifts as temperatures rise toward the low 70s later today.

Clouds remain in place through much of the day. A few scattered showers could develop late morning, followed by isolated thunderstorms during the afternoon hours as warmer air pushes into the region.

Road conditions may change quickly during heavier showers. Wet pavement and reduced visibility could briefly impact drivers traveling through Fort Wayne’s busiest corridors.

Meteorologists say another round of unsettled weather arrives during the weekend. Showers become widespread Saturday, with rain chances near 90 percent and breezy southwest winds gusting up to 30 mph across northern Indiana.

Temperatures stay mild through the system, reaching around 69 degrees Saturday before cooler air returns briefly afterward.

Conditions improve quickly Sunday. Sunshine returns across Fort Wayne with highs near 58 degrees, offering a calm and bright end to the weekend.

Early Sunday morning also marks the Daylight Saving Time change, when clocks jump forward one hour at 2 a.m. The shift means brighter evenings as spring approaches across Indiana.

Warmer air builds again early next week. Monday looks sunny with highs near 70 degrees, and the warming trend may continue deeper into March.

Meteorologists remind drivers that early spring temperature swings sometimes create flash freezing on bridges and overpasses after sunset.
