According to the National Weather Service (NWS), a storm survey confirmed a brief tornado on the south side of Elkhart, west of US-33, between Lusher and Hively Avenues. Several trees were either snapped or uprooted. The tornado, classified as an EF0, had wind speeds of at least 85 mph, consistent with the high end of the EF0 scale.
