Fort Wayne, IN – A winter weather advisory is in effect for northern Indiana, southwest Michigan, and northwest Ohio from late Friday night through early Saturday afternoon, bringing snow and ice to the region.
According to the National Weather Service, the advisory begins at 11 p.m. EST Friday and lasts until 1 p.m. EST Saturday. Snow accumulations of up to 2 inches are expected, along with a light glaze of freezing rain that could create hazardous travel conditions.
Snow will start late Friday night before mixing with freezing drizzle overnight into Saturday morning. Roads may become slick, particularly on untreated surfaces and overpasses. Motorists are advised to slow down and use caution while traveling.
