Fort Wayne, IN – A stretch of pleasant fall weather will start the week across northern Indiana, but forecasters say a storm system midweek could bring showers and breezy conditions to parts of the region, according to the National Weather Service in Northern Indiana.
Monday and Tuesday will feature mostly sunny skies with highs ranging from 56°F to 61°F and nighttime lows in the mid-30s to low 40s. East winds may gust up to 25 mph, adding a brisk feel to otherwise comfortable conditions.
By Wednesday, clouds increase with a 30–50% chance of showers, especially south of U.S. 24. The best rain chances arrive Thursday, particularly east of I-69, where probabilities rise to 40–70%.
Despite the rain, temperatures will remain mild for late October, holding near 50°F to 56°F through Thursday before slightly cooler weather arrives for the weekend.
Drivers should plan for breezy conditions midweek, and residents are encouraged to stay updated as the storm track becomes clearer.
