Northern Indiana Faces 50+ MPH Winds, Thunderstorms, and Snow by Late Wednesday

Fort Wayne, IN – Northern Indiana will experience a mix of spring warmth and winter weather this week as a storm system moves through the region late Wednesday into early Thursday.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will climb into the 60s on Tuesday and Wednesday before the system brings gusty winds, rain, and potential thunderstorms by Wednesday evening. Some storms, mainly west of I-69, could produce wind gusts exceeding 50 mph.

By late Wednesday night, rain is expected to transition into snow showers as temperatures drop into the 30s. Strong winds will continue into early Thursday, impacting travel conditions.

Residents should prepare for rapidly changing weather and monitor local forecasts for updates on potential severe storms and snowfall accumulations.
