The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana reports that the heat index could reach 100 degrees. Highs will peak between 86 and 93 degrees, with humidity making it feel even hotter.

Scattered showers and storms are expected to develop Friday afternoon, continuing into the evening. According to the National Weather Service, some storms may bring strong winds, with gusts exceeding 50 mph. The risk of severe weather is highest in Northern Indiana, Southwest Lower Michigan, and Northwest Ohio.

Saturday morning may bring lingering showers and storms, especially in southeastern areas. However, dry conditions are anticipated by Saturday afternoon, lasting through Sunday. The weekend temperatures will be cooler, with highs in the low 80s.
