Northern Indiana – Hot and humid conditions will continue across Northern Indiana today, with highs ranging from 82 to 87 degrees. Thursday’s warm temperatures will persist, contributing to the build-up of unstable weather as we approach the Labor Day weekend.

By Friday, a cold front will move into the region, bringing increased chances of showers and thunderstorms, particularly in the afternoon and evening. Some storms may become severe, with isolated risks of gusty winds and heavy rainfall. Temperatures on Friday will remain high, with the mercury reaching between 83 and 92 degrees, keeping the region sweltering before relief arrives.

Friday night will see continued storm activity, though cooler, drier air will begin to filter in, setting the stage for a more seasonable weekend. Lows are expected to range from 63 to 69 degrees overnight.

According to the US National Weather Service Northern Indiana, the storm chances will taper off as we enter the weekend, leaving behind more comfortable weather for Labor Day celebrations. Saturday through Monday should see milder temperatures, with highs in the 70s to low 80s, offering a welcome reprieve from the week’s intense heat. Residents are advised to monitor weather updates and prepare for potential storms on Friday.
