Northern Indiana residents should prepare for a wet weekend as rain and storms are likely to affect the area from midday Thursday through Sunday. According to the US National Weather Service Northern Indiana, the storm system is expected to move in by Thursday afternoon, bringing with it scattered showers and thunderstorms. Severe weather, however, is unlikely with this system.

The forecast indicates that Thursday night could see a higher chance of storms, with temperatures ranging from 64 to 69 degrees. By Friday, storm chances will increase, with temperatures possibly reaching the lower 80s. The storm activity is expected to continue through Saturday, with slightly lower temperatures in the mid-70s to lower 80s.

As the weekend progresses, the chance of showers and storms will decrease, but some areas may still experience intermittent rain through Sunday, with temperatures ranging from 77 to 81 degrees. Residents are advised to stay updated on local weather conditions as the system develops. The weather service notes that while severe weather is not anticipated, it’s important to remain cautious and prepared for any changes in the forecast.
