Chicago, IL – A frost advisory has been issued for several Northern Illinois counties from 1 a.m. to 9 a.m. Wednesday.
Residents in Lake, DuPage, Kankakee, Northern Cook, and Will counties should expect temperatures to dip as low as 32°F. These conditions will lead to frost formation, particularly in inland areas. According to the National Weather Service, the frost may damage or kill sensitive vegetation if left uncovered.
Gardeners and farmers are urged to take precautions by covering plants or bringing them indoors. The frost is expected to be less severe along the lakeshore. Residents are advised to monitor local forecasts and prepare accordingly as temperatures will rise above freezing later in the day.
