Peachtree City, GA – A frost advisory has been issued for northern Georgia counties, including Fannin, Lumpkin, and White, with temperatures expected to fall as low as 35°F between midnight and 9 a.m. Friday. Frost formation is likely and may damage sensitive outdoor vegetation.

The National Weather Service urges residents to take precautions to protect plants, especially in areas such as Blairsville, Cleveland, and Dahlonega. If left uncovered, sensitive plants may be harmed or killed by the cold temperatures.

The frost advisory will be in effect throughout the early morning hours on Friday, with temperatures gradually warming after 9 a.m. Gardeners should cover or move plants indoors to prevent frost damage.

Residents should prepare for the chilly conditions overnight and take necessary steps to protect outdoor plants and gardens.
