Sacramento, CA – The National Weather Service in Sacramento reports that Northern California will remain in a cooler-to-near-normal temperature pattern through the first week of December, accompanied by breezy north to east winds during the middle of the week.
Daytime highs will range from the mid- to upper-50s across Sacramento, Stockton, and Auburn, to the low 60s in Redding and Red Bluff. Temperatures are expected to stay steady from Monday, December 1, through Sunday, December 7, with minimal day-to-day variation. Nights will remain chilly, especially in the northern Sacramento Valley.
A brief period of increased winds is expected Wednesday into Thursday, as a pressure gradient develops behind a weak passing system. The strongest gusts (25–30 mph) will likely occur across Chico, Marysville, Red Bluff, and Sacramento, where the NWS advises residents to secure outdoor decorations and loose objects.
Despite the breezy conditions, skies will remain mostly clear and dry, with no significant precipitation expected across the interior valley or foothills. The mild and stable weather pattern should persist into next weekend.
Travelers and holiday decorators are urged to monitor updated forecasts at weather.gov/Sacramento for any changes to wind timing or strength.
