California’s North Coast is soaked and windswept this morning, with steady rain sweeping across Eureka and Humboldt Bay. Water pools along Broadway and U.S. 101, and tides are running high enough to raise coastal flooding concerns. If you’re heading out, expect reduced visibility and slick pavement.

According to the National Weather Service in Eureka, a Flood Watch remains in effect through this morning, along with a Coastal Flood Advisory during the early high tide cycle. Rain chances sit near 100 percent, with south winds around 16 mph and gusts up to 25 mph. Highs reach near 60 degrees today.

Periods of moderate rain could drop a quarter inch or more before showers taper later. Low-lying roads near Humboldt Bay and Elk River may see minor flooding. Avoid driving through water-covered streets and monitor local advisories. Conditions may deteriorate quickly during heavier bursts.

Showers continue into Wednesday, though coverage decreases to around 30 percent by afternoon. Highs cool into the mid-50s. By Thursday, skies begin to break with partly sunny conditions and highs near 60. That trend signals improving Midweek Weather after this soggy stretch.

Friday brings partly sunny skies with only a slight chance of showers and highs in the lower 60s. While freezing temperatures are not expected along the immediate coast, brief clearing at night can still create slick rural roads inland if temperatures dip.

Looking ahead, the 6–10 day outlook leans warmer and drier across much of Northern California. Subtle signs of Spring Warmth may emerge into early next week.

Five Day Outlook for Eureka, California:

Today: Rain and breezy, high near 60.
Wednesday: Chance of showers, high near 56.
Thursday: Partly sunny, high near 60.
Friday: Partly sunny, slight chance of showers, high near 62.
Saturday: Showers likely, high near 61.
