Sacramento, Calif. – Clear skies will dominate the Sacramento Valley this weekend, but the pattern shifts by Tuesday as a slight chance of showers returns to the region. Highs will climb to the upper 80s Saturday and Sunday before easing slightly into the low 80s by midweek.

According to the National Weather Service, Sacramento will remain mostly sunny through Monday with calm south winds near 5 mph. Overnight lows will stay mild, ranging from 60 to 62 degrees, offering some relief from daytime warmth.

Communities across Northern California, including Elk Grove, Davis, and Carmichael, will see nearly identical conditions with abundant sunshine through the weekend. Drivers can expect clear visibility on major corridors such as I-5 and Highway 50, though commuters should prepare for slick pavement if showers develop late Tuesday.

Residents are advised to use the dry stretch for outdoor plans and to monitor updates early next week when moisture could increase. Any rainfall is expected to be light, but enough to briefly impact evening travel.

The National Weather Service says sunshine quickly returns after midweek, with highs rebounding toward 90 degrees by Friday.
