Sacramento, CA – Above-normal temperatures will continue across Northern California’s interior through early March, bringing widespread 70°F highs to many cities.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Sacramento, areas like Redding, Red Bluff, and Chico have a high probability of reaching 70°F, with chances exceeding 90% in some locations by midweek. Sacramento and Stockton will also experience warmer temperatures, though with lower probabilities.

This warming trend could impact agriculture and increase wildfire risks due to dry conditions. Residents should prepare for unseasonably warm weather and monitor local forecasts for updates.

NWS advises staying updated through weather.gov/sto for the latest forecasts. The heatwave is expected to persist through at least March 2, with cooling unlikely before early March.
