Ukiah, Calif. – Dangerous triple-digit heat will blanket inland Northern California through Saturday night, with temperatures expected to reach between 100 and 110 degrees across Lake, Trinity, Humboldt, and Mendocino counties.

According to the National Weather Service in Eureka, heat advisories are in effect from 11 a.m. Thursday through 11 p.m. Saturday for Trinity, Lake, and northeastern Mendocino. A separate advisory begins Friday morning for inland Humboldt and additional Mendocino communities, lasting until late Saturday.

Residents in Ukiah, Clearlake, Weaverville, Garberville, and surrounding valleys could see afternoon highs near 109°F, with little relief at night as temperatures remain warm. The prolonged heat raises risks of heat exhaustion and heat stroke, particularly for vulnerable populations and those without air conditioning.

Officials urge residents to stay hydrated, limit outdoor work to early morning or evening, and check on neighbors and relatives. Outdoor workers should take frequent shaded breaks, and anyone experiencing symptoms of heat-related illness should seek medical attention immediately.

The advisory remains in effect through Saturday night, with forecasters cautioning that additional alerts may be issued if hot conditions persist into early next week.
