Northern Arizona Braces for Scattered Thunderstorms Before Weekend Dry Spell

Flagstaff, AZ – Northern Arizona will experience one more day of monsoon moisture before drier air moves in from the west. Scattered thunderstorms are expected today, gradually decreasing in activity as the weekend approaches. The US National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a thunderstorm forecast highlighting storm coverage for the next few days.

According to the National Weather Service, scattered storms will affect most of Northern Arizona today, with isolated storms predicted for eastern Arizona on Saturday. The White Mountains region will see lingering moisture through the weekend, with isolated storms expected on Sunday and Monday. The Mogollon Rim and White Mountains will experience isolated storms through Tuesday.

Starting Saturday and lasting into next week, drier air will bring an end to showers and thunderstorms across much of Northern Arizona. The forecast for Flagstaff shows partly cloudy conditions today with a high of 84°F. The weekend will bring sunny skies and slightly cooler temperatures, with highs around 83°F on Saturday and 82°F on Sunday.

Looking ahead to next week, Flagstaff will enjoy clear skies with highs in the mid-80s and lows in the mid-50s. Monday’s forecast predicts a high of 84°F with sunny conditions, while Tuesday and Wednesday will also see temperatures around 84°F under mostly sunny skies.
