Green Bay, WI – A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for central, east-central, and northeast Wisconsin until 6 a.m. Sunday, as heavy snow continues to blanket the region.
According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, total snow accumulations are expected to range from 6 to 11 inches, with localized totals exceeding 12 inches possible near the Lake Michigan shoreline, especially across Kewaunee and Manitowoc counties. The heaviest snowfall is anticipated Saturday afternoon and evening, reducing visibility and creating hazardous travel conditions.
Travelers across Green Bay, Appleton, Oshkosh, Wausau, and surrounding communities are urged to slow down and use caution, as snow-covered roads and poor visibility will make driving difficult.
The National Weather Service advises that holiday travelers and hunters should prepare for slippery conditions and delays, and motorists can call 511 for the latest statewide road updates.
