Wisconsin – A cold, gray start grips Green Bay this morning, with damp air and river levels quietly rising as temperatures hover near freezing.

According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, some rivers across northeast Wisconsin remain above bankfull, prompting caution near waterways through today and continuing into the weekend. Water levels are elevated, and flows remain strong, especially near low-lying roads and trails.

At Austin Straubel International Airport, temperatures sit near 30°F with a light southwest breeze. Wind chills dip into the low 20s, keeping a sharp edge in the air for early commuters. While roads are mainly dry, shaded spots could still turn slick.

Clouds hold through the day, with highs reaching about 46°F. Conditions stay quiet, but the bigger shift builds midweek. Wednesday brings a modest warm-up to near 54°F, signaling a transition toward more active spring weather.

By Thursday afternoon, rain moves into Green Bay, De Pere, and surrounding Brown County communities. Showers could create wet pavement during the commute, especially along I-43 and Highway 41. Plan extra travel time and watch for reduced visibility.

River concerns continue as additional rainfall may keep water levels elevated. Avoid flooded paths and never drive through water-covered roads.

Cooler air returns by Friday, with highs dropping near 40°F under partial sunshine. The broader pattern points to fluctuating temperatures, with warmer air surging again late next week.
