Green Bay, Wis. – Dense fog is expected to make Monday’s morning drive difficult across much of northeast Wisconsin, with widespread low visibility creating dangerous road conditions.

According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, a Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 8 a.m. Monday for Brown, Outagamie, Door, Winnebago, Calumet, Manitowoc, Marinette, Oconto, Florence, and Kewaunee counties. Visibility may fall to a quarter mile or less at times, particularly along U.S. 41, I-43, and state highways connecting Green Bay, Appleton, Oshkosh, and Sturgeon Bay.

Officials warn drivers to slow down, keep headlights on low beam, and leave extra space between vehicles. The fog could cause delays for early commuters, school buses, and delivery routes, especially in rural and lakeshore areas where conditions may be slower to improve.

Cities most at risk include Green Bay, Appleton, Manitowoc, Oshkosh, and surrounding communities. Fog is expected to gradually lift by mid-morning as sunlight breaks through, but lingering patches may remain in valleys and near Lake Michigan.

More advisories could be issued if visibility fails to improve after sunrise.
