Cleveland, Ohio – A mostly dry Monday is expected across northern Ohio, with only a slim chance for isolated lake-effect rain showers along the far northeastern corner of the state. Cooler-than-normal afternoon highs will linger under partly cloudy skies.
According to the National Weather Service in Cleveland, light rain could briefly affect areas near Ashtabula and into northwest Pennsylvania through mid-morning. Beyond that, conditions turn dry for the remainder of the day across the region.
High temperatures will range from the upper 60s in Ashtabula and Erie counties to the low and mid-70s across cities like Cleveland, Akron, Sandusky, and Mansfield. Sunshine will mix with passing clouds, but no widespread rain is expected.
Drivers heading along I-90 in northeast Ohio should remain alert for damp roads early, while most commuters across northern Ohio will see smooth travel conditions. With highs several degrees below normal, residents may want to keep a light jacket handy through the evening.
The National Weather Service says dry weather will dominate into midweek, with no significant storm systems approaching until later in the week.
