CLEVELAND, OH – After a cool and dry Saturday, Cleveland residents can expect a pleasantly sunny Sunday before rain showers make their way into Northeast Ohio by midweek. Highs are forecasted to reach the low 60s on Sunday, creating ideal conditions for outdoor activities. However, those traveling along the I-90 corridor and nearby areas should be prepared for an incoming wet weather pattern starting Tuesday.
According to the National Weather Service, high pressure will keep skies clear and dry on Sunday, with a daytime high of 63 degrees and a gentle southeast wind at 7 to 9 mph. Temperatures will dip into the mid-40s Sunday night, creating chilly conditions under mostly clear skies. This calm pattern will continue into Monday, with highs rising to a mild 71 degrees. By late Monday night, clouds will start to gather, signaling a shift toward more unstable weather.
Looking ahead to Tuesday, Cleveland is forecasted to experience breezy conditions, with a high near 76 degrees. A 30% chance of rain showers is expected after 2 p.m., increasing to a 90% chance of showers overnight into Wednesday. Commuters on Wednesday morning should be prepared for potentially wet roads, as rain showers will persist throughout the day with a high near 66 degrees.
The weather will remain unsettled through Wednesday night, with an 80% chance of showers before conditions start to clear by Thursday morning. Expect a return to partly sunny skies with highs in the low 60s on Thursday, providing a brief respite from the rain.
Residents planning to be outdoors early next week are encouraged to take advantage of the dry conditions Sunday and Monday, while keeping an umbrella handy starting Tuesday night as showers are set to roll through the region.
