Cleveland, Ohio – Cloudy skies are settling over northeast Ohio today, setting up a gray and cool stretch before rain moves in and impacts travel heading into the end of the week.

According to the National Weather Service in Cleveland, highs today will reach between 37°F and 40°F, with mostly cloudy conditions dominating across the region. While roads remain dry for now, the persistent cloud cover keeps temperatures chilly through the afternoon.

Cities including Cleveland, Akron, and Youngstown will stay under overcast skies, with little sunshine expected. Tonight, temperatures dip into the upper 20s to low 30s, which could allow isolated slick spots to form on untreated surfaces.

The pattern shifts Thursday as rain showers develop, with highs climbing into the 40s to low 50s. By Friday, temperatures rise further into the low 50s to mid-60s, bringing steadier rain and wet road conditions across major routes including I-90, I-71, and I-77.

Drivers should prepare for reduced visibility and slick roads during periods of rain late Thursday into Friday. Residents can expect a gradual warm-up, but unsettled conditions will linger through the end of the week, with additional updates possible as rain chances increase.
