CLEVELAND, Ohio – Storms are set to move into Northeast Ohio this week, bringing rain and possible thunderstorms that could slow commutes and impact outdoor plans. The unsettled stretch begins Tuesday afternoon and lingers into Wednesday, with the strongest chances for rain expected late Tuesday and overnight.

According to the National Weather Service in Cleveland, showers could begin after 2 p.m. Tuesday with thunderstorms developing after 5 p.m. A 40% chance of rain continues Tuesday night, with locally heavier downpours possible. Sunny and warm weather will dominate Monday with highs near 78, but conditions shift quickly as humidity builds Tuesday. Cleveland could see highs reach the mid-80s before storms arrive, with temperatures holding in the lower 80s Wednesday under partly sunny skies.

Dry weather returns Thursday and Friday, with highs in the upper 70s before cooler air slips in by the weekend.
