Cleveland, Ohio – Northern Ohio will see a calm and pleasant day Monday with sunshine, light winds, and mild lake conditions, making it one of the better beach and boating days of late summer. High temperatures will range from the mid-70s along the shoreline to near 80 inland.

According to the National Weather Service in Cleveland, skies will stay mostly sunny to partly cloudy as west winds move across Lake Erie at 5 to 12 knots. Waves are expected to remain low, around 1 to 2 feet, creating fair to good conditions for boating and swimming.

Cleveland, Sandusky, and Ashtabula should see highs in the mid to upper 70s, while Akron, Canton, and Mansfield will be slightly warmer, climbing into the upper 70s to near 80. Winds may pick up briefly along open stretches of the lake but are not expected to cause hazards.

Beachgoers are advised to remain alert for changing water conditions, but rip current risks remain low. Travelers on I-90 and I-71 should expect no weather-related delays.

The pleasant stretch continues into early week, though storm chances increase midweek.
