NORTHEAST, Ohio — The Halloween season is officially underway, bringing pumpkin spice and plenty of haunted attractions across the Cleveland area. Here are four haunted houses to visit this fall.

Nightmare Cleveland Haunted House (Cleveland)
This indoor haunt features elaborate sets and Hollywood-style costumes designed to terrify. The attraction is open and runs through Nov. 8.

Hours are 7 p.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays, and 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays in October. Select Thursdays will also be open. Admission ranges from $24.99 to $32.99 and tickets are available online.

Fear Forest Haunted House & Hayride (Lordstown)
Spread across 68 acres, this attraction offers four different experiences: Insane-A-Tarium, Psycho Path Haunted Trail, Haunted Hayride and the Forbidden Cornfield.

Hours are 7 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sundays in October. Tickets range from $14 to $40 depending on the package and can be purchased online.

The Chippewa Lake Slaughterhouse (Chippewa Lake)
Located in a former slaughterhouse that closed 40 years ago amid reports of worker disappearances, this haunted house spans 70,000 square feet of frights, featuring detailed sets and costumes.

Hours are 7:30 p.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays in October, with additional dates the first two Saturdays of November. Admission starts at $30 and tickets are sold online.

7 Floors of Hell (Middleburg Heights)
Held at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds, this attraction features seven themed haunts: The Swamp, Haunted Mansion, Asylum, Wormhole, Anubis Revenge, Blood Harvest and Cirque Macabre.

Hours are 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays in October. The final night of operation is Nov. 1. Tickets range from $10 to $100, depending on the package, and are available online.
