CLEVELAND- Fall has officially arrived. The leaves are changing, the weather is cooling, and pumpkin spice is lining store shelves. As sweater weather approaches, pumpkin-themed activities are on the rise. Here are a few of the upcoming fall festivals in the Cleveland area.
Macedonia FallFest:
On Sept. 27, FallFest will be held at Longwood Park. This family festival will feature more than half a dozen breweries and wineries, along with food trucks including Manna Food Truck, Sweet Doughlights, Brooks Homestyle BBQ and Barrio Food Truck.
The event will end with fireworks at 9 p.m. Admission is free. The festival runs from 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Drink tickets are available to purchase.
Bauman Orchards Fall Festival:
Bauman Orchards, a family-owned orchard since 1929, will host a free fall festival on two weekends. Both events will include family-friendly activities with unique features each weekend.
Visitors can pick their own apples, enjoy a hayride, play Bear Buddies Kids Games, get face painting and listen to live music. Food and goods available for purchase include homemade apple cider donuts, Ott’s Coffee, Holcombs Popcorn, Buj’s Hot Dogs, Just Eat The Cookie, Grace & James Trucker Hat Bar and Sowing Seeds Florals.
On Sept. 27, vendors include Uncle Bacons BBQ, LiveWell Stitch Work, Wild & Co. Permanent Jewelry and Honeys Candles. On Oct. 4, Angellos Itallian and Connies Crochet Avenue will be featured.
This festival will be held Sept. 27 and Oct. 4 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. U-pick apples prices are $14 per peck or $24 for half a bunch. Parking is available at the school, with a free shuttle to the orchard each day.
Old West Pumpkin Fest
Rockin ‘R Ranch will host its family-friendly fall festival. Activities include hayrides, a petting zoo, pumpkin painting, photo opportunities, walking through the Old West town and watching the Country Kids Show.
This festival runs for six weekends from Sept. 27 through Nov. 2. Hours are 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $15 before tax and can be purchased on the ranch’s website.
Pumpkin Pandemonium
Heritage Farm will host a month of fall activities, seven days a week. Visitors can pick their own pumpkins, take a hay ride, join a scavenger hunt, take photos and find their way through the harvest maze.
Admission prices vary. All-access admission is $13 for adults 18 and older, $10 for adults 65 and older, and $17 for children ages 2 to 17. Admission for individual activities, including hayrides, the scavenger hunt and the maze, is $6.
Hours are 2 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Hayrides are not available on weekdays.
