Glasgow, Montana – Slow-moving thunderstorms could trigger flash flooding across northeast Montana through Sunday night, with heavy rain posing the highest threat in low-lying areas and near small creeks. Residents from Glasgow to Wolf Point are urged to prepare for quick water rises and potential road flooding through the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service in Glasgow, scattered storms are expected each day from Friday night through late Sunday, with the heaviest rainfall likely Saturday evening and again Sunday afternoon. The region could see multiple rounds of showers capable of producing localized downpours, especially along small streams and poorly drained areas. Flash flooding is possible in areas that receive repeated or intense rainfall.

Communities along U.S. Highway 2, including Nashua, Hinsdale, and Saco, should remain alert for water pooling on roadways and avoid travel during active storms. If flooding occurs, residents are encouraged to report it to local law enforcement, who will relay information to the National Weather Service.

The risk tapers off by early Monday, but scattered showers may linger. More advisories could be issued if rainfall totals increase.
