Florida – Warm, damp air already hugs the First Coast this morning, and a light breeze moves through palm trees near the St. Johns River. Temperatures began near 60°F and are climbing quickly under a mix of clouds and sun.

Highs reach about 66°F today with northeast winds between 7 and 11 mph. Skies stay mostly sunny through the afternoon. The air feels mild, almost like early spring rather than mid-February.

Friday turns brighter and warmer. Sunshine pushes highs near 68°F. Friday night stays clear and cool with lows around 51°F. Then the warmth builds.

Valentine’s Day Saturday brings mostly sunny skies and a high near 72°F. It will feel comfortable for outdoor dinners or waterfront walks. Keep light layers for the evening, as readings dip to around 60°F with increasing clouds.

Sunday changes the tone. Clouds thicken, winds pick up, and showers become likely after midday. Highs climb to around 77°F. Rain chances rise to 70% during the day. By Sunday night, showers and possibly a thunderstorm become likely, with a 90% chance of rain and breezy conditions.

Plan extra time if traveling Sunday, especially along I-95 and I-295. Downpours could briefly reduce visibility. Ponding on roads is possible in heavier bursts.

Looking ahead, NOAA’s 6–10 day outlook signals above-normal temperatures across much of the Southeast. Highs in Jacksonville may hold in the 70s into midweek, with additional rain chances as a more active pattern sets up nationwide.
