Fort Worth, Texas – North Texas wraps up the weekend on a pleasant note today, with mostly sunny skies, light winds, and temperatures climbing comfortably into the 60s across much of the region. Outdoor plans and travel should remain smooth through the afternoon, but drivers will want to stay alert for fog developing overnight.
According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, high pressure overhead is delivering calm, mild conditions today. Afternoon highs will generally range from the low to mid-60s across the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, with some western locations edging closer to 70 degrees. South winds will remain light, generally between 5 and 10 mph.
Cities including Dallas, Fort Worth, Waco, Killeen, Graham, and Palestine will all see favorable weather through the day. Skies remain mostly clear into the evening, allowing temperatures to cool efficiently overnight. Lows are expected to fall into the mid to upper 40s, with some areas near 50 degrees.
As moisture increases overnight, patchy fog is expected to develop across Central and East Texas late tonight into early Monday morning. The fog could reduce visibility during the morning commute, particularly in low-lying and rural areas.
Drivers are encouraged to use low-beam headlights, slow down, and allow extra travel time Monday morning. Fog should gradually lift after sunrise, leading to another mild start to the workweek. No rain is expected in the short term, and additional updates will be issued if fog becomes more widespread.
