Dallas, TX – Low clouds and patchy mist early today will give way to sunshine across North Texas, with breezy conditions lingering before a quieter and warmer holiday pattern settles in.

According to the National Weather Service, south winds will increase through the late morning and afternoon, gusting between 25 and 30 mph at times across the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Temperatures climb into the low 60s as skies gradually clear, making for a noticeably milder afternoon after the cloudy start.

Drivers may notice crosswinds on north–south roadways such as I-35E, U.S. 75, and the Dallas North Tollway, especially during the midday hours. Conditions improve quickly this evening as winds ease and skies turn clear, allowing temperatures to fall into the upper 30s overnight.

Friday and the weekend bring abundant sunshine and a warming trend. Highs push into the mid-60s Friday, then surge toward the upper 70s Saturday under clear skies. Sunday stays mild with highs in the upper 60s, favorable for outdoor plans and early holiday travel.

Looking ahead, the warm and quiet pattern continues into next week. Christmas Eve on Wednesday is currently trending dry and unusually warm for late December, with highs well into the 70s across the Dallas area. No hazardous weather is expected, and conditions look favorable for holiday travel and last-minute preparations.
