Fort Worth, TX – A major weather shift is on the way for North and Central Texas this weekend as a strong cold front moves through the region, ending several days of unseasonably warm weather.

According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, high temperatures will stay 5–15 degrees above normal through Saturday, with most areas — including Dallas–Fort Worth, Waco, and Killeen — reaching the low to mid-80s. Conditions will remain quiet and dry through the end of the week.

The change arrives early Sunday morning, when a cold front sweeps south across the state. Behind it, temperatures will drop sharply, with highs in the mid-50s to lower 60s in North Texas and upper 50s to mid-60s further south. Breezy conditions are also expected through Sunday afternoon, signaling a noticeable return to seasonal fall weather.

Forecasters advise residents to plan for cooler outdoor conditions by late weekend and note that the pattern may persist into early next week.
