Fort Worth, TX – North Texas residents are waking up to a serious weather threat as strong to severe storms move eastward this morning. A tornado watch remains in effect through 10 a.m. for areas along and near the I-35 corridor, including Eastland, Bowie, and Dallas-Fort Worth.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), the storms could bring damaging winds, embedded tornadoes, and isolated hail. The line of storms is expected to reach the I-35 corridor around 8 a.m., continuing eastward through late morning. Commuters are urged to remain cautious, monitor road conditions, and prepare for sudden weather changes, especially during peak travel hours.

Hazards include wind gusts exceeding 60 mph and rapid tornado formation. Areas such as Waco and Temple may also see significant impacts as the storms progress. Residents in affected areas should keep mobile devices charged and ensure emergency alerts are enabled.

The weather is expected to clear by the afternoon, with sunny skies and a high of 70 degrees forecast for Monday. The rest of the week looks calm, with clear and sunny conditions prevailing. Highs will range from 63 to 73 degrees through Thursday, with nighttime lows dipping into the 40s.
