Fort Worth, Texas – Showers and isolated thunderstorms will linger into Saturday morning across Tarrant County before drier, warmer weather settles in for the remainder of the holiday weekend. Drivers in Fort Worth could face wet roads early Saturday, especially along I-35W and Loop 820, where brief downpours and standing water are possible.

According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, rain chances hold near 60% through 10 a.m. Saturday before tapering off by midday. Highs will reach the upper 70s under mostly cloudy skies before clearing begins Saturday night. Winds remain light from the north at 5 mph.

By Sunday, skies turn partly sunny with temperatures climbing to the low 80s, making for safer travel and outdoor plans across the Metroplex. Monday brings full sunshine with highs in the mid-80s, and the warming trend continues through midweek, with highs near 90 expected Tuesday and Wednesday.

Residents are advised to allow extra travel time Saturday morning and check for slick spots on secondary roads. Once storms clear, no additional rain is expected for at least five days.
